What is it?

The fete has been a keenly-awaited annual event for many years now. Birchanger villagers head for the Club Field is numbers resembling nothing so much as the annual migration of Wildebeest across the Serengeti to enjoy the stalls, sideshows and children's rides.

In 2004 the fete nearly died, because of a lack of volunteers to help with the organisation. However it was saved in the nick of time by Paul Tucker and his family and held at the Three Willows. By all accounts it was a huge success.

The fete in 2005

Because of difficulties in attracting committee members, there will be no 'official' fete in 2005. Hoevere, there WILL be an event at the Three Willows on 10th July.

The fete in 2006

The fete committee have, they hope, found new blood! Currently the plan is that there will be a fete in 2006. Please, please, help if you are prepared to help the committee.

Funds Raised

Monies raised at the 2004 fete were distributed to several local causes, including the Birchanger Village Magazine.

Fete Committee

The Birchanger Fete Committee are Terri Hopkins, Roy Brown and Geoff Driscoll. At the time of writing I think there are new potential members. I'll add their names to the list as they are confirmed.
