Birchanger Art Festival gives money to local organisations

Birchanger Art Festival has made donations of £600 to local organisations from money raised at last September's highly successful show.

The largest grant, of £300, was made to Birchanger Village Magazine, to enable it to continue to reach all households in the village free of charge. Birchanger Village Hall received £100 towards the cost of providing a disabled toilet, and the school received the same sum, which is to go towards providing netbook computers for children with special educational needs.

Finally, a further £100 was given to Birchanger Cubs as a thank-you for the use of their marquee and for other help they have given.
