Birchanger Community Website

From 14th February there will be a new operator of bus routes 7 and 7a, which pass through the village. The operator is RoadRunner, a trading name of SM Coaches of Harlow. They have a website at www.smcoaches.co.uk and can be contacted on 01279 426266.
 
Also from that date there will be a later journey, departing from Bishop's Stortford at 1949.

During the blockade of the lane between 7th and 11th February buses will be unable to follow their normal route. I believe that routes 7 and 7a in both directions will enter and leave the village at the Sion House end and will reverse at the Sports and Social Club. If I can obtain an amended timetable I will post it.
 
I do not know the arrangements for the other routes through the village (i.e. the 322, 453 and unnumbered school services). If you know more please contact me or post a comment to this message.

The 510 bus service, operate by Arriva The Shires, now passes the Sion House end of Birchanger Lane and along Forest Hall Road on its way from Harlow to Stansted Airport via Old Harlow, Sawbridgeworth and Bishop's Stortford.
It runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Frequencies are hourly overnight and on Sundays and about every 20 minutes on Mondays to Saturdays (less frequent in the evenings).
