Liz Godwin has retained her seat representing Birchanger on Uttlesford District Council, easily beating her Liberal Democrat opponent. The votes cast were as follows:

There were nine papers spoilt.
Liz therefore obtained 79.4% of the valid votes cast. Not bad for someone who genuinely thought it might be a bit tight this time.
The turnout was about 44%.

This lists hundreds of items and tells you how you should dispose of them, although the authors seem a little optimistic about the reuse potential of things such as old CDs.
